Golden Oaks Retreat

This vintage mid-century modern sprawls across its heavily wooded site with gorgeous views to the western hills and nestles into the property’s hillside. When the homeowners purchased the home, they wanted to update it throughout to accommodate their young and busy family. The main living areas were expanded out towards the dramatic views and the long low eaves were lifted with a butterfly roof. Most of the original footprint was otherwise maintained and details were added to enhance the open floor plan while respecting its mid-century modern roots.
