MENLO PARK, CA

Modern Suburban

Starting life as a humble 900 SF cottage, this major remodel used every square inch of new space towards becoming a highly functional and highly desirable family home. The ceilings of the main living space were raised to 12’ with clerestories to flood it with natural light and 10’ sliding doors to open up views to the existing redwood trees.  Two wings flanked the central space, one more public with kitchen, dining, laundry, mudroom and the other with a more private wing of bedrooms and bathrooms. The finishes are “modern organic” with high priority placed on durability and environmentally friendly materials.
